Can listings be assigned to Agents automatically?

My client currently has a custom system built that looks for new listings in their database. When a new listing is found that comes from another realty company the website designates a certain agent as the contact for the property.

For example realty company A is responsible for a listing. Realty company B pulls in the listing via RETS. Realty company B of course shows that the listing agent is company A, but also shows the designated agent assigned from company B.

It does this by simply cycling through the list of agents and sends an email to the agent asking if he/she wants to be the contact for the property. They can respond yes/no and if it is declined it will notify the next agent on the list.

I know that WP Realty has a backend interface for managing agents and listings but does it also track which agent is assigned to which property and does it do any of this automatically?

ok - here is the answer to this - "no"

But - here is what is coming in the next release:

the contact forms and lead manager will do something similar to what your clients are probably wanting.

1) ability to create unlimited lead capture forms.
2) ability to assign which agents can receive leads.
3) ability to view the agents leads which were assigned to them.
4) ability to view all website leads in one window (many options will be added to this area over the next couple releases based on feed back from you guys).
5) ability to embed these forms where ever you want and style them anyway you want.

I was hoping to have this done by the end of the week and once it is done I will ask for a few developers like yourself to become beta testers....( something we are going to start doing with a select few of our developers that would like to help us make this product the best real estate plugin out there - period. ;)

I've been experimenting with contact forms and lead managers and would love to see your integrated solution. Though different than what my client is doing now it sounds like a reasonable and perhaps better solution.

I currently have the dev license (and you've probably seen many of my tickets by now). My client wants to go live with their site in April so I am anxious to help in any way I can to provide the best possible version of WPRealty.
