Hi - We are thinking of purchasing the developer edition from yourselves.
I have a couple of questions regarding this first that are quite important and I would like answered firstly.
I am looking to build a WP based site that will allow multiple clients to upload their own property details (tect images etc..) - is this possible with WP Realty - as in the client will have their own login and be able to view and modify their own properties , but obviously not anyone elses :)
On your installation demo - it only shows the creation of a widget , i take it that it supports full listings and searches that can be done from the main content are of Wordpress?
If someone could get back to me as soon as possible on this then we can proceed with the order. I did send anotehr question last week, but so far I have not received an answer.

I purchased WP Realty around a month or so ago and can confirm that everything you're asking for is supported. Once logged into the Wordpress admin panel there are sections for "Edit My Listings" and "Edit All Listings" which allows for an admin to edit anything but allows basic users only to edit their own.
There is also full support for creating search forms and a listing search page. This is mostly handled through inserting tags into certain pages. The functionality is all there, sometimes its just not easy to find the documentation that explains what you need to do. Registered users are getting more and more information though as the other parts of the forum and knowledgebase are getting populated.
Also, Chad/Jared are really good about responding to any questions via the ticket system though if you have issues.

Thanks for that Brian - but just one other thing is worrying me - does that mean that a user would have to log into Wordpress to log into the WPrealty bit?
And if so at what level - Editor or User? - Editor for example, if thats the case then they would have access to posts and pages and other elements of my site etc...?
The people who will be logging in to manage their own properties will not be part of the company - so in other words, i dont want then to have access to anything else in Wordpress except their own properties - if you see what i mean - because if an editor logs in then they can alter pages and posts - or do they just log in as a standard user and not have access to that area - it very difficult to see how it would work without a trial - which i do not beleive they are doing now.
Thanks in advance.

I am interested in this too as I would like to have a public access area where people can upload properties they wish to let - in fact Iīd like to do this across a couple of different sites.
I have bought the $100 version of the plugin and it is very good - far, far superior to the open realty/wp plugin hybrid they had last year. Quite amazing what they have done here.
Just takes a bit of getting used to as there are a few elements to it which I donīt quite understand how to configure myself yet and Chad and Jared seem swamped with work at the moment.

Yes, to access wprealty you need to log into Wordpress. Basically, you create your wordpress user with the privileges you want them to have for the whole site. Then you create an agent through wprealty and tie that username to the wordpress user name. Then when you login to Wordpress using that account you will only have access to edit listings for that specific user.
There are some quirks. For example in order for the wprealty menu to show the account needs to be flagged as admin, which in turn opens up all the other posts and pages to edit. The solution to this would be to download a free third party role manager plugin and define a custom role with only the specific privileges you want them to have.

Hi I understand that Chad/Jared are swamped - but it would be great if one of them could answer the question - then i can give the instruction to purchase. A lack of reply at the mo is holding things up - and to be fair i did send an email over 2 weeks ago regarding this - but still have no reply...........:(
Meanwhile I have a half baked site in the oven - with no idea of direction and if this will work, Ill give it another couple of days - but then im going to have to look at other options. I would have thought pre-sales enquiries would have been dealt with and im quite dissapointed with the lack of response to say the very least.
I was just reading over Brian's answer and he has hit the nail on the head.
go ahead and use http://cupidsgate.com/ admin - password
upload the optional plugins to try it for yourself - this is the best I have to offer you at this time since this is (not) something I have the time right now to test out for you.
Personally I would like to take a day and play with the idea myself and experiment so that I could come up with a more professional response for you but I am up to my eyeballs trying to complete a couple of MLS projects + adding my tweaks to the NEW plugin features fixing to be released (today I hope).
If someone were to help me with the outline of exactly what is needed and which plugin was found that helps to manage this - I would be happy to add it to my programmers list of To-Do's.
Right now I'm looking at getting WordPress MU working so that Brokers can offer their agents a sub-domain - this is mainly because there are about a dozen people waiting for it (myself included)
This thread however has prompted me to re-think of "how" the best way to handle this would be and as I said "Brian" has apparently got the best answer and I have now offered up a website for you to test it on - so - I will be curious to see what the outcome will be and what kind of solutions/options you guys have or need for me to make in order to clearly solve this issue.
On another Note* - I want to make this the BEST real estate plugin out there - period - so if you guys have something that is needed and it's something that most everyone else wants, then I have no problems with adding it to the list to get it built.... these are the last 3 (main items) on my list for the 2.x version:
1) WordPress MU integration
2) Automated search field tag ID's for making easy custom adv-search forms.
3) Google Map Search
..aside from those 3 items mentioned above, we will continue to "tweak" this 2.x version while we work on the completion of the New 3.0
best regards,
chad

Tahnsk for thwe answer - i guess that we probabally wont have the site fully live for a few weeks/months ;) where users are actually wanting to put the listings on - so if this funcionality is going to be supported in the future then it looks a good choice. I always like wordpress beacuse of the ease of use and the speed WP sites get indexed at - and the whole SEO thing with them. So based on that I am happy to reccomend the purchase. :)
Just one thing Brian, you talk of a 'role manager plugin' is there any that you would reccomend or have tried.

This is the one I have used in the past --> http://www.im-web-gefunden.de/wordpress-plugins/role-manager/
It hasn't been updated recently so I'm not sure if it's still good on the latest version of WP. If not this one might work as well --> http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/role-scoper/
