Want to add MLS, IDX, RETS data feed into your Wordpress site?

How can I find out if other realtors are using this in my area???

it is important if you are a Realtor...but it would have no value to you because only realtors/brokers can get a data feed.

...as to "who" is in your area using wprealty with a data feed ....hmmm if you were to tell me where you are I could probably answer that since either Jared or I have built 98+% of all of them out there that would be using this plugin.

How do you do it?

Does this work in the United States?

Is there any info on your site on how to do this?

My client wants an MLS hookup yesterday. We are in Los Angeles and have our MLS login data but I can't find where to input it or how to do it.

Could you tell me if this is possible or not with the current plugin?

Thank you very much.

Hello,

I'm also interested in connecting to the MLS. What would it take to connect to NNEREN’s MLS feed? (Innovia)

http://www.nneren.com/

Thank you,
Curt

A few quick facts about MLS Feeds that play a role in how they are used.

1) No two MLS's are ever alike. They may have the same fundamentals as many others but in our experience there is enough different to require each MLS to be approached as unique.

2) Some MLS providers will provide media servers for images and if so remote linking is not only a requirement by many MLS providers its the ideal when using this plugin on a shared server.

3) There are no turnkey RETS or IDX plugins in existence that can work in all situations. I doubt it would even be possible. There are just too many situations that can come up requiring customization.

Case in point is Phoenix AZ MLS. This MLS is rather large at just shy of 60K listings. Because of this we usually do a LOT of field joins in order to save space and time.

4) The most time consuming part about mapping a particular MLS for use in a website is the field order and download. Getting a format right is time consuming and there isn't really an easy way to do this.

One of the reasons so many IDX professionals charge so much has to do with the substantial amount of time it takes to get it working right.

In the industry there are only a few options that have been employed on a mass scale.

1) Framed solutions which put MLS listings in a site with an iframe. This has absolutely zero value in terms of indexing the listings on your site or ranking for any listings in particular. This also has no potential for exporting listings for popular feeds.

2) ModProxy methods. This is used where listings may appear to be in your site and you can actually rank from it but it does require ideal hosting conditions. UltimateIDX uses this method.

3) Direct feed which puts the listings in your site. You index for them, you maintain them, you can even export them as XML feeds if needed.
